whose mission
is to extend and enhance human life urgently requires Project Statisticians.
My client's researchers are dedicated to discovering and developing
innovative medicines that address significant unmet medical needs in key
disease areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct basic statistical analysis in support of clinical research
studies as specified in statistical analysis plans, including statistical
graphics.
· Generate/verify randomisation codes.
· Prepare statistical sections of protocols, including sample size
calculations
· Prepare and annotate shell data displays
· Provide specifications for structure, content and algorithms for
status and analysis datasets.
· Perform and supervise quality control of data displays and
analysis datasets
· Maintain project administration file, including protocol,
annotated CRF, statistical analysis plan, annotated shells for data
displays, programming and quality control rules, tracking of generation and
quality control of data displays, and project communication (internal and
client).
· Maintain project directories, including ensuring that final SAS
output is in the correct directory, and that all interim programs and output
are deleted at the completion of the project.
§ Review and approve work of other members of the local department.
§ May serve as primary statistical contact with clients for projects
of diversified scope.
· May be responsible for statistical activities associated with
clinical research studies and with programs leading to regulatory
submissions.
· Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.
SKILLS
§ Previous SAS experience, including SAS/STAT.
§ Proficient in statistical procedures including non parametric
analysis, linear and non-linear models, categorical data and survival
analysis techniques,
§ Extended knowledge of the procedures of clinical programming
§ Understanding of data management flow in clinical trials
environment.
§ Strong organisational skills.
§ High degree of accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.
§ Strong oral and written communication skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ BSc. or MSc. in Statistics/Biostatistics or equivalent,
§ At least 3 years for BSc. or 2 years for MSc. in clinical trial
experience.
