Medical Statistician
Salary £22,870 - £26,120 per annum
We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Statistician to join a diverse team in an active and lively clinical research department. The successful candidate will be involved on many levels in a variety of projects investigating occupational and environmental causes of lung disease, with particular emphasis on asthma. The post-holder's main responsibility will be data analysis but will be involved in all aspects of the research, from assisting with fieldwork through to design issues and presentation of results at scientific meetings. There will also be opportunities for teaching and some statistical consultancy in the Institute.
Applicants must have an MSc in Medical Statistics or related field. Practical experience with SAS or Stata is essential and knowledge of databases would be an advantage. The position is available for 2 years in the first instance, with the possibility of a further extension.
