all levels.
My client's researchers are dedicated to discovering and developing
innovative medicines that address significant unmet medical needs in key
disease areas.
These areas include affective (psychiatric) disorders, Alzheimer's disease,
atherosclerosis/thrombosis, oncology, diabetes, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS,
obesity, rheumatoid arthritis and solid organ transplant rejection. My
client employs approximately 43,000 employees, who are engaged in the
discovery, development, licensing, manufacturing, marketing, distribution or
sale of its products. For 2004, the Company reported global sales of $19.4
billion.
Position Description:
These positions will strengthen the group of biostatisticians supporting the
Phase I to III development of Oncology compounds.
The position consists of providing biostatistical expertise in the design,
planning, conduct, analysis and preparation of reports for clinical studies
and global development programs, and for registering drugs at the FDA and
other regulatory agencies worldwide.
Work in cross-functional teams to achieve results and ensure scientific
validity and overall quality of deliverables. Develop and maintain
statistical programs as necessary to perform analyses, prepare data
displays, verify data accuracy and validity. Seniority in the position will
depend on the level of experience of the candidate.
Position Requirements:
Master's Degree or higher, in Biostatistics or Statistics. Pharmaceutical
industry experience, or other relevant experience with clinical trials, in
particular in Oncology, would be an asset.
Have sound knowledge of statistical software packages (in particular SAS),
and the ability to integrate statistical and biomedical concepts.
The candidate should be a good team player and be flexible to adopt project
standards, processes and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication
skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential.
