A reminder about November's meeting:
2006 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS
The 20th annual meeting of ASSESS, the SPSS Users' Group, will take place
on Friday, 10th November 2006 in the Alcuin Research Resource Centre,
University of York, 2 miles from the city centre.
The committee welcomes contributions on SPSS-related topics from all
academic and professional fields, particularly describing case studies
(especially in marketing and business), surveys, uses in teaching
statistics, advanced analyses such as generalized linear models,
multivariate procedures and time series forecasting, examples of
syntax, handling messy data, graphics and tips on using SPSS procedures.

Normally 35 minutes is allowed (including some time for questions).
Speakers do not pay the conference fee and may claim expenses. Poster givers
cannot claim expenses but do get a reduction on the conference fee. The
best poster will get a prize!
If you would like to give a paper or a poster or run a "hands on" SPSS
session or discussion group (or even if you think you might but are not yet
sure or would like to know more), please contact the meeting organiser,
Peter Watson (see below). A printable form is provided.
The meeting's open to all current users of SPSS and anyone interested in SPSS.

* hear the latest news from SPSS UK staff about product developments
* participate in discussions raised by the talk topics
* exchange ideas with other SPSS users
* suggest ideas for a better user group
