Position

 

The position to be filled is that of Statistics Manager, to take responsibility for analytical and consultancy work within the Statistical Consultancy team. Reporting to the Head of the Department, the successful candidate will have a proactive role in both conducting and growing the statistical consultancy service. It is a critical role in ensuring that our clients are gaining the most insight from their survey research.  The successful candidate will be one of a team of 7 statisticians. 

 

The role is critical to ensuring that our clients are gaining the most from their survey research.

 

The Statistics Manager will contribute to the challenging and supportive atmosphere on which their personal and professional growth can occur.

 

 

The principal responsibilities of the Statistics Manager will be as follows:

 

a)     To ensure the smooth running of internal and external client's analytical needs 

b)     To work closely with our client facing teams to provide high added value service to their clients

c)     To provide clear direction and support for staff for which he/she will be responsible for

d)     To direct and develop new analytical approaches that will solve company goals and promote them within the company

e)     To keep up to date with the company's methodologies and R&D initiatives and communicate them externally

f)       To train our client facing executives in statistics within the graduate training scheme 

g)     To resolve problems

 

  

The Ideal candidate

 

Age:                  No limit

 

Education:               At least a graduate in Statistics or similar degree with greater than 50% statistical context

 

Experience               A minimum of 5+ year's statistical commercial experience, preferably with a consultancy or marketing background

 

                        A good knowledge of a variety of multivariate statistical techniques and statistical and data manipulation software packages

 

                        Ability to produce high quality work under pressure

 

                        Some experience of managing junior staff would be helpful

 

 

Communication          Strong communication skills are essential with the ability to liaise and build relationships with both internal and external clients

 

                        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration

 

 

Salary                     c. 27,000 - £60,000 (Depending on whether application is for Manager, Associate Director or Director)

 

Car/Car allowance provided or £4,600

 

Pension                   Company contributes 5% (individual contribution 5%)
