I have agreed to talk at this year's Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical
Industry (PSI) conference in a session entitled
'Writing of papers for publication: practical tips and applications'
In that connection I am interested in collecting examples of rejected
papers that eventually found a good home. (The higher the subsequent
citation rate of the rejected and subsequently published paper, the better!)
Please reply to me, not the list, and if the number of examples is not too
great, I shall do my best to provide a summary!
Thanks in advance
Regards
Stephen
PS Since this is the 700th anniversary of the coronation of Robert the
Bruce and possibly of his famous encounter with the spider,
http://www.showcaves.com/english/explain/History/Bruce.html posting a
question on the "web" on the topic of "If at first you don't succeed, try,
try and try again" somehow seems appropriate.
