Insurance Risk Modelling Vacancy (Permanent role)

My Client, an insurance consultancy, is focused on providing risk
analysis/modelling services to insurers, reinsurers, banks and other
financial institutions. They are also involved in the structure and
arrangement of reinsurance contracts including the equivalent risk
transfer contracts in the capital markets.
They are looking for a risk modeller to be involved in all consultancy
work provided by the business, who is able to help define the opportunity,
identify the issues and frame the risk analysis. You will help with the
development of the risk model and the “findings” presentation documents.
You will also attend and participate in client meetings with a particular
focus on the risk analysis, model and results.
Workload permitting you will attend marketing meetings and be involved in
the preparation of marketing materials.
Key Requirements are:
• Evidence of risk analysis and modelling skills including
qualifications or experience in statistics, mathematical statistics,
probability and games theory. Undergraduate studies in decision-making
theory would be helpful.
• Evidence of proficiency in Excel and an understanding of modelling
stochastic (probabilistic) processes in Excel.
• Evidence of proficiency in Matlab would be helpful.
