CONTRACT: Statistical Programmer - Phase IIIb / IV Clinical Trials
Job Summary:
This job involves production of efficacy and safety study reports of data
from clinical studies. The reports (tabulations/listings and graphs) will
form part of the material used in regulatory drug filings. Dependent on the
stage the drug's development, the programmer may also be required to produce
integrated summaries of safety and efficacy.
Duties:
Working for this major pharmaceutical client your duties will include;
1. The production and quality control of efficacy study reports written
in SAS. This is achieved by writing and validating software in accordance
with statistical analysis plans and client programming standards.
2. The production and quality control of safety study tables and
listings.
The roles would require identification of the general cause of any reporting
issues (e.g. data or programs) and their possible resolution with data
management, programming, statistical or clinical staff as appropriate. The
role may require programming to convert legacy data to client data
standards. Training will be given in all specific tools and processes. The
successful candidate will be supervised by a lead programmer who will act as
the contact with the main project team.
Requirements:
Essential; 2 years minimum pharmaceutical / clinical trial reporting
experience, 3 years SAS base & SAS/macro and experience of working closely
with a study statistician to discuss and produce efficacy study reports.
Desirable; statistical methodology used to report clinical trials OR
SAS/graph.
This is an 8 month contract based in the South of England.
