Applications are invited for up to seven experienced researcher positions (each
approximately 18 to 24 months duration) within the framework of the European
Marie Curie Host TOK-DEV programme, “Biomimetic Robotic Systems for Product
Development", at Unilever R&D, Port Sunlight. Ideal candidates will have
experience in one or more of the following fields: robotics, mechatronics,
biomimetics, sensors, control theory, data analysis and stochastic modelling,
optimisation, signal processing, nature-based computing.
Project Outline
Unilever aims to establish a new capability in biomimetic robotics. Experienced
researchers are to be recruited to work with Unilever R&D scientists, forming
part of a strong multidisciplinary team, that will bring biomimetic robotics
research to bear on product design in the Home and Personal Care industry. The
team requires expertise in various areas of robotics, sensor design, data
analysis, modelling, optimisation and control.
Candidate Profile
It is expected that candidates will have a background in one of the areas
indicated above with a relevant degree and PhD (where a candidate does not have
a PhD they need to have at least 4-10 years of relevant experience, in addition
to their degree, to be eligible for the Marie Curie scheme).

Salary: €47KEuros per annum, a mobility allowance will be paid in accordance
with EU Rules.
