Job Opening: Statistical Modeling and Algorithms for Bioinformatics
Opening within the framework of the K.U.Leuven Center of Excellence
for Computational Systems Biology (SymBioSys, see
http://www.kuleuven.be/symbiosys/ ) for postdoctoral researchers to
contribute to statistical modeling and algorithmic work on selected
problems within the area of gene prioritization, differential gene
expression, data fusion, or biclustering.
The postdoctoral researchers will work in a highly interdisciplinary
and international environment involving statisticians, computer
scientists, biologists and others.
Successful candidates will have a PhD and a good publication record.
They will have a sound background in applied statistics,
biostatistics, or statistical modeling in the social or behavioral
sciences. Further requirements include sufficient programming
experience and excellent communication skills.
