We (National Centre for Social Research) have designed a survey question
module for lone parents which involves presenting a series of 18 factors
that might influence a decision on whether or not to take up paid work.
Lone parents are asked to sort the 18 factors into three sets: big factors;
small factors; and 'not factors'. Does anybody have any suggestions as to
statistical analysis methods that would particularly lend themselves to
data of this sort? Both descriptive and analytic methods would be of interest.
Many thanks
Susan
