DEADLINE FOR FUNDED PHD PLACES ANNOUNCED
CRISM (Centre for Research in Statistical Methodology) and CSC (Centre for Scientific Computing) at the University of Warwick are organizing an MCMC workshop from August 22nd - 24th, 2006. We have a small number of places for PhD students and young researchers with funding covering accommodation costs. PhD students and young researchers are kindly invited to apply for
these places. A deadline of March 3rd has now been set for application.
The general topic of the workshop are methodological innovations in Markov chain Monte Carlo driven by applications. We envisage the emphasis to be on methodological advances in new appliation areas such as inference for diffusion processes, wavelets or challenges on the biology/imaging interface. The Scientific Commitee of the workshop consists of Prof. G.O. Roberts, Prof. A Stuart and Prof. W.S. Kendall.
There will be five keynote speakers and also a number of contributed talks and a poster session. Further details can be found on the workshop webpage which will be updated regularly:
