> In this assignment the successful applicant will be involved in supporting a range of pre clinical projects. This is an exciting assignment offering experience in supporting statisticians and scientists to participate in and enhance the drug discovery process.
>
> Accountabilities/Responsibilities
>
> * Provide statistical support to Cancer Bioscience project teams.
> * Work with Discovery scientists to better understand project needs and to assist decision making through the appropriate application of statistical thinking, data analysis and visualisation of results.
> * Provide statistical support as early as from the development of new assays and models through to monitoring their performance over time.
> * Contribute towards achievement of project milestones.
> * Communicate effectively across a range of disciplines > -> including teams, one-to-one work, presentations and discussions.
> * Contribute to the development of best practice in design, visualisation, analysis and interpretation of data, through networking with other statisticians and scientists working in this area.
> * Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant areas of statistical science.
>
> Minimum Requirements > -> Education and Experience
>
> * MSc in statistics or qualified to equivalent level.
> * Strong technical skills and the desire to develop these further.
> * Ability to communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians both verbally and in writing.
> * Approachable and enjoys interacting with people from a range of disciplines.
> * Ability to maintain focus on customer delivery whilst maintaining competing priorities.
> * Experience in applying statistical methodology within industry or a scientific / bioscience environment
> * An interest in cancer research would be an advantage.
>
