Applications are invited for a one-year Research Fellowship at the
University of Southampton, working in the Design of Experiments group
(www.doe.soton.ac.uk) of the Statistics Research Institute. The position is
part of an EPSRC-funded interdisciplinary research team, and will be under
the supervision of Professor Susan Lewis and Dr David Woods. The Fellow will
undertake methodological research in the design and analysis of experiments,
with focus on one or more topics relevant to Chemistry and Pharmaceutical
research.
The successful applicant will have, or expect to obtain shortly, a PhD in
Statistics (or equivalent research experience) and will have a background in
the design and analysis of experiments. The salary will be
£24,161 per annum.
The group has interests in many areas of design, including screening
experiments, optimal design for linear and nonlinear models, and Bayesian
methods. It has close ties with other research programmes in S3RI
(http://www.s3ri.soton.ac.uk/research/), particularly the Statistical
Modelling and Computation programme.
