StatisticianMedical Statistics Unit, Department Of Epidemiology And Population Health
The Medical Statistics Unit wishes to appoint a statistician, to participate in a collaborative program of research with the neighbouring UCL Institute of Neurology. The primary component of the post is to provide a statistical advisory role across the Institute as a whole. In addition the statistician will collaborate on specific research projects, particularly in multiple sclerosis. The post will also involve teaching of postgraduate students, both at the Institute and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The post is based at the School, but around 50% of the time will be spent at the Institute.
The successful applicant requires an aptitude for applied research. Statistical computing experience and good communication skills are prerequisites. An MSc in statistics or equivalent is essential, and experience of working in a research environment is desirable.
The appointment is available for three years with the possibility of further extension. The salary will be on the School's Lecturer, Research Fellow or Research Assistant scale, currently *27,232 - *41,844 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
