An opportunity has arisen for a senior statistician with wide experience in clinical trials to work in the new Scottish Mental Health Research (Clinical Trials) Network (SMHRN). The aim of the Network is to support high quality multicentre clinical trials in Scotland relevant to mental health and coordinate these with the wider UK Mental Health Research Network.
Working closely with colleagues in the Edinburgh University Medical Statistics Unit, you will be the senior statistician for the Network, involved in trial design and innovation, strategic planning, making decisions relating to the adoption of studies, and giving advice and support to academics and clinicians conducting mental health clinical trials in Scotland.
You will bring strong experience in clinical trials, and must be able to communicate with senior academics and managers. This unique post will provide an opportunity to influence the future of mental health research both in Scotland and in the UK as a whole.
