The Faculty of Economics and Business invites applications for a
full-time position in econometrics and business statistics at either the
Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) level, depending upon
experience and qualifications. Applicants in any area in theoretical
and/or applied econometrics or business statistics are sought. The
successful applicant will join a dynamic group that teaches a wide
variety of courses in econometrics, business statistics and management
decision science/operations research. The Discipline of Econometrics
and Business Statistics has a very active research program and has
enjoyed considerable success in attracting research funding.
Applicants at the Lecturer level (level B) will have, or expect to
shortly obtain, a PhD in the field of econometrics, business statistics
or closely related field. In addition, strong research credentials,
evidenced by existing international publications and/or a quality
current research agenda, are essential. Successful applicants should
also have the capacity to contribute to the teaching program at all
levels, including supervision of honours students.
Additional essential criteria for appointment at the Senior Lecturer
level (level C) include a PhD in econometrics, business statistics or
closely related field, an established track record of high quality,
international research publications in econometrics, effective lecturing
skills, the capacity to supervise postgraduate research students and the
ability to contribute to curriculum development.
Applicants should indicate clearly whether they wish to be considered
for a Level B position or a Level C position.
The position is full-time continuing, subject to the completion of a
satisfactory probation and/or confirmation period for new appointees.
Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition

Remuneration package: Lecturer Level B: $81,148-$96,363 p.a. (which
includes a base salary $69,062-$82,011 p.a., leave loading and up to 17%
employer's contribution to superannuation).
Remuneration package: Senior Lecturer, Level C: $99,404-$114,619 p.a.
(which includes a base salary $84,599-$97,548 p.a., leave loading and up
to 17% employer's contribution to superannuation).
A salary supplement may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
