Our laboratories at Colworth Park in Bedfordshire, UK carry out
world-class R&D in biosciences, foods, safety and the environment.
Colworth is the home of Unilever's Corporate Research programme, which
seeks to identify hot-spots in science and investigate their potential
to benefit Unilever businesses. Unilever's Safety and Environmental
Assurance Centre (SEAC) is also based here and is responsible for
ensuring that all Unilever products are safe for consumers and the
environment, and that processes are safe for the workforce. Other groups
on site include Unilever's centre of expertise in Life Science and R&D
centres for Beverages, Frozen Food and Ice Cream.
We are currently looking for a Statistician to join our Data Sciences
Group. This group provides statistical consultancy across the
laboratory, working closely in project teams with scientists. The person
we are looking for will be able to manage the statistical content of a
project, deciding on appropriate design and analysis approaches,
performing the analyses and presenting and reporting the results.
Methodology development and improvement is also an important part of our
role, as we believe in expanding the statistical capabilities of our
group.
Who should apply? We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated
people with excellent communication skills. You should have a
post-graduate qualification in statistics. Further experience,
particularly in the area of clinical/human studies would be a benefit.
Good IT skills are essential as is experience with a major maths or
statistics package such as SAS or S-plus.
Colworth Park is located within a country estate near the village of
Sharnbrook in rural Bedfordshire, just 60 miles north of London. There
