This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a study that investigates the genetic heterogeneity of GlaxoSmithKline population genetic collections, in order to measure levels of genetic heterogeneity within and between Caucasian populations; develop statistical methods taking heterogeneity into account; and investigate methods for optimal use of controls.
With a PhD in statistical genetics or a related field, you will have strong skills in data analysis and experience of working on statistical research projects, as well as experience of computer programming and statistical software. It is envisaged that at the time of appointment a 15 month contract will be available to the successful candidate, but subsequent extension may be possible.
