Rothamsted Research has obtained funding for a three-year post-doctoral
position to develop geostatistical methods to analyze data where the
assumption of stationarity in the variance is untenable. The approach will
be based on REML estimation of non-stationary variance parameters. The
project will also involve the design, execution and analysis of a large
survey of nitrous oxide emissions from agricultural soils as a case study.
Further details may be obtained from Murray Lark([log in to unmask]).
Applications are requested by 15th December 2006.
