JOB TITLE:  EPIDEMIOLOGIST for premier global Biotech, Cambridge or North-
West London 

LOCATION / AREA:  UK South / UK South-East / Cambridgeshire / Middlesex / 
North-West London / Greater London

SUMMARY OF ROLE:  World leader in biotechnology requires two talented and 
experienced Epidemiologists to work in their European Epidemiology team, 
to support the general medicine and cancer therapeutic areas. For the post 
in general medicine knowledge / interest in the epidemiology of chronic 
kidney disease and/or osteoporosis would be an asset.  Responsibilities 
and level of appointment will depend on experience and qualifications.

JOB ROLE:   The Company's Global Epidemiology function provides state of 
the art epidemiological expertise and advances the design, conduct, 
analysis, interpretation and publication impact of scientific 
investigations that support their research, development and commercial 
strategy worldwide.

Key accountabilities of the roles:
·	Providing strategic and scientific epidemiology support in 
designated therapeutic area across the full spectrum of drug development 
(early pipeline through to marketed products). 
·	Providing epidemiological support to functions and teams based in 
Europe.
·	Working closely with US based Epidemiology counterparts in 
designated therapeutic area to contribute to Global TA Epidemiological 
strategies and activities. 
·	In particular promoting and facilitating the conduct of studies in 
European databases and other population data sources.


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
·	Minimum of PhD or Master's degree/MD plus substantial experience. 
·	Biopharmaceutical industry experience would be an asset but is not 
essential
·	For the post in general medicine knowledge/ interest in the 
epidemiology of chronic kidney disease and/or osteoporosis would be an 
asset.
