RESEARCH STATISTICIAN IN HIV/AIDS
Applications are invited for the position of research assistant in medical statistics within the HIV Clinical Epidemiology & Statistics Group in the Department of Primary Care and Population Sciences. The post is for three years and is available immediately. The post principally involves analysis of data from a large pan-European prospective study of individuals with HIV infection (The EuroSIDA Study). There will be an opportunity to study for a PhD, related to work on the EuroSIDA study. Applicants should have a good first degree (involving a strong mathematical content) with an MSc in Medical Statistics or equivalent, and knowledge of the statistical package SAS. Excellent written/spoken English and communication skills are also essential.
Salary is on the University Research Scale Grade 6 between point 24, £24,583 to point 26, £25,929 (including London Weighting of £2,472), depending on age and experience and this post is available immediately.
