JOB TITLE: CLINICAL STATISTICIAN - HE & PATIENT OUTCOMES, Switzerland
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Our client, one the world's top pharmaceutical
providers, requires a Statistician to join their planned new group within
the department of Biostatistics and Statistical Reporting to support the
global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HE&OR) function. The
Statistician will be responsible for all statistical tasks on patient
reported outcomes and economic endpoints in assigned individual clinical
trials. He/she may take on project level tasks, initially under the
supervision of a more experienced Statistician/Group Head but with
increasing autonomy and accountability.

JOB ROLE: Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
· Functioning as the statistical leader and project manager for all
B&SR deliverables on patient reported outcomes and economic (PRO/ES)
endpoints globally for assigned individual clinical
trials. Performing all trial level activities with a high level of
independence.
· May be assigned to take on parts (e.g. indication) of a project,
initially under the guidance of a more experienced statistician, but with
increasing autonomy and accountability.
· Tracking study level PRO/ES activities and milestones.
· Ensuring timeliness and adequate quality of all B&SR deliverables
for the assigned trials and project tasks.
· The analysis and reporting of PRO/ES data for assigned individual
clinical trials.
· Performing additional analyses to answer worldwide PRO/ES data
questions from regulatory or pricing authorities, or ad-hoc analysis, data
mining and exploratory analysis for publication purposes.
· Following processes and adhering to the Company and project
specific standards as well as Health Authority requirements (SOPs, NIPs,
Master Analysis Plan, GCP, and regulatory guidelines).
· Participating in or leading non-clinical project activities.
· Establishing and maintaining sound working relationships and
effective communication within the Pricing and Health Economic Team, the
Clinical Trial Team/International Clinical Team; and the B&SR team.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
· Masters Degree in Statistics or Master in an economic field with
strong statistical background) and substantial experience
· Or, PhD with relevant experience.
Experience in clinical research, health economic requirement: research and
international clinical studies involving PRO/ES assessments.
· Proven knowledge in statistics and its applications to PRO/ES
assessments, such as, quality of life
and productivity, and health economic data analysis.
· Proven knowledge in clinical development process, HA guidelines and
health economics guidelines.
· Proven knowledge of statistical software packages.
