Lecturer or Research Fellow in Health Services Research
We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher with a strong interest in health services research and improving health care quality.
The post is based in the Clinical Effectiveness Unit, a collaboration between the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and The Royal College of Surgeons of England, two leading UK institutions in the field of clinical effectiveness and audit of surgical care. The CEU plays a key role both nationally and internationally in shaping and guiding surgical audit. This post provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in high profile national studies of the quality of surgical care.
Applicants must have a higher research degree (PhD for Lecturer grade; MSc for Research Fellow grade) in health services research, epidemiology, social science or a related discipline and a proven ability to manage projects and to write up and communicate findings. Abilities to manage large-scale research projects and liaise successfully with healthcare professionals are also needed.
The post is offered full-time, initially for 2 years. The salary will be on the Research Fellow scale (£ 23,026- £ 32,984) or Lecturer scale (£ 27,334 - £ 39,941) per annum inclusive, depending on qualifications and experience.
