Research Facilitator (Fixed-term)

School of Mathematical Sciences
Applications are invited for the above post. The School seeks an
individual with experience of postgraduate research in some branch of the
mathematical sciences who has an interest in research administration.
The Research Facilitator will work with academic staff in the School and
with the University's Business Development Network in securing research
funding and administering research grants.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to pursue
independent research in some branch of the mathematical sciences. The
School was graded 5 in all three of its Units of Assessment in the 2001
RAE and new research income in 2005/06 was GBP 4.3M.

Salary will be within the range 24,161 - 30,606 GBP per annum, depending
on
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to 34,448 GBP per
annum,
subject to performance).
This post is available from 1 January 2007, or as soon as possible
thereafter, will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two
years.
