At Bedfordshire, we think it's important to learn as much as we can about our communities in order to inform our planning, prioritisation, and delivery. That's why we've created a new team to develop community intelligence in subjects such as population, the economy, household income, and pupil performance.
You will develop profiles of small geographical areas in Bedfordshire, improving our knowledge of communities through the collation of both data and other research. Your role will also involve answering basic enquiries relating to this material from officers, partner agencies, and the public.
Numerate, highly organised, and comfortable dealing with customers, you will have experience of working with large and complex datasets and spreadsheets. A-level mathematics or a similar qualification would be desirable. An eye for detail will be essential.

Closing date: 1 November 2006.
Interview date (provisional): 9 November 2006.
