JOB Medical Statistician The Medical Statistics Unit wishes to appoint a statistician to develop applied methodology for pharmaco-epidemiology and clinical trials. The postholder will be expected to contribute to the School’s postgraduate teaching programme. In addition there will be the opportunity for applied collaboration on specific clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity involving both methodology and applications at a leading centre for biostatistical research. Safety of medicines & clinical trials are high profile topics presenting interesting challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a proven aptitude for applied methodological research, good communication skills and experience with statistical computing and data analysis. An MSc in statistics or equivalent is essential. The post is full-time for 3 years. Intended start date will be 1 January 2007. The salary will be on the School’s Academic scales, currently in the range of £27232-£41844 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
