An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant/Associate in Statistics within the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the St Mary's campus, Paddington.
You will take an active role in helping to develop multidisciplinary research programmes in the area of environment, occupation and health. In particular you will provide essential statistical and epidemiological input for a range of research projects, specifically on a case control study of hypospadias in children and a project that includes both methodological and practical aspects of systematic review and meta-analysis, working jointly with the Human Toxicology department of Imperial College.
You will have a relevant MSc and/or PhD and a sound understanding of statistical concepts and techniques. You will also have experience of working on research projects in applied epidemiology, preferably in the areas of environmental, occupational or public health. You must also have excellent communication and team working skills.
The post is full time and funded until 31/07/09.
