JOB: BIOSTATISTICIAN IN SINGAPORE
The Clinical Trials and Epidemiology Research Unit (CTERU) in Singapore is
a national level organization which provides essential infrastructure to
support clinical research in Singapore. This is done by providing core
manpower and other support to enable clinical trials, epidemiological and
evidence-based medicine studies to be conducted to established
international standards.
The Unit is seeking to hire a biostatistician who will provide key
statistical input for the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials
and other clinical research projects. This will involve interacting with
clinical personnel, study coordinators and other biostatisticians. The
candidate will also be required to write scientific reports and papers, as
well as to undertake some teaching responsibilities. Training
opportunities and resources will be provided as needed.
The conduct of methodological and other aspects of applied biostatistics
research is also strongly encouraged in CTERU.
The candidate should posses a Masters or above in Statistics. Experience
in the application of statistics to biomedical research will be an
advantage. The candidate should be proficient in the use of a major
statistical analysis package, preferably SAS, SPSS or STATA and must have
a good command of spoken and written English.
