Trent Research & Development Support Unit (RDSU), Division of Primary Care
Medical Statistician (part-time, fixed term)
Required to (i) provide statistical support and advice to NHS researchers, (ii) to contribute to the provision of statistical advice through advice and support clinics, (iii) to participate in the training programmes provided by RDSU staff, (iv) to collaborate with researchers in the design and analysis of health services research projects and (iv) to contribute expertise in the extraction of healthcare data for research.
Candidates should possess a PhD in relevant health-related field, e.g. medical statistics, epidemiology, health services research.
Familiarity with a range of statistical software e.g. SPSS, Stata is essential together with experience in medical statistics/epidemiology and experience of healthcare data extraction and manipulation.
Salary will be within the range £24,161-£30,606 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience. Salary can progress to £34,448 per annum pro rata subject to performance. This is a part-time post. Applications are invited from candidates who wish to work between 22.5 and 30 hours per week (0.6 to 0.8 full time equivalent).
