Senior Design & Innovation Consultant and Design & Innovation Consultant,
Head Office Product & Marketing Group, SHL
Thames Ditton, Surrey, UK
Do you want to work at the cutting edge of applied psychometrics for the
leading global company in occupational assessment?
If you are someone with experience in psychometric product development or
someone starting in this area but with a good background in statistics and
psychometrics, then read on…
Operating at the heart of SHL, the Design & Innovation Team is instrumental
in the development of new ability and assessment questionnaires globally,
both online and offline. Using advanced psychometrics and statistical
models such as IRT, the team also focuses on how tests are developed and
how the quality and efficiency of product development processes can be
improved.
In these roles you will engage in the entire product development cycle from
designing and managing test production processes and trials, through to the
analysis, calibration and delivery of new content and instruments. You
will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, having to meet challenging
deadlines and quality standards. You will also work with representatives
from across SHL’s extensive network of offices worldwide to ensure that
what you are delivering meets the market requirement.
If you have experience in test development and psychometrics, we are
looking for people who can undertake IRT analyses, can use multivariate
statistical models such as exploratory and confirmatory factor
analysis. Just as important, these people must be able to manage projects
in a commercial environment, have good team working skills, and have a
proactive approach to problem solving, as well as good communication
skills. The ability to mentor and coach more junior team members in
developing their skills and knowledge, and supporting them in progressing
projects is also a prerequisite.
If you are starting your career in product development, then experience in
statistical models and the design of research trials is important, but
equally important are your qualities in logical thinking, translating
responses to problems into practical solutions, organising and planning,
relating and networking with others, communication, delivering against
customer expectations, and achieving objectives. Your development will be
supported through both on-the-job and structured training and development
interventions will be put in place to meet your development needs.
We will offer you a competitive salary plus benefits, commensurate with
experience.
