NON-CLINICAL SENIOR LECTURER IN STATISTICAL EPIDEMIOLOGY
Applications are sought from experienced academics with a strong background in
statistics, epidemiology and/or health care related research for this HEFC funded post
of non-clinical senior lecturer. We require a creative leader in epidemiology and
statistical methods to boost the department's international reputation in mental health
research. The post-holder will have opportunities for collaboration with a wide range of
statisticians and epidemiologists in UCL's Division of Population Sciences in order to
develop their own research portfolio as a career statistical epidemiologist. Their work
will complement projects already underway in conjunction with the Department's
national and international research networks.
The post-holder will develop leading edge analytic techniques and coordinate detailed
analyses of a number of major data sets, whilst also contributing to the teaching of
undergraduates and postgraduates within the Medical School. By developing and
managing a team to carry out a programme of studies within the Department's research
strategy, the post-holder will be required to contribute to the development of networks of
excellence in epidemiological and health services research.
The post is graded as Grade 9, the salary for which ranges from £42,367 to £46,295
(excluding London Allowance of £2,472).
