Medical statisticians are required to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on large-scale research into the molecular and genetic causes of heart attacks.
Candidates should possess a relevant first or postgraduate degree in medical statistics, epidemiology or a closely-related discipline and relevant experience. The dual role of the post-holder will be (i) the application of statistical methods to large epidemiological datasets and (ii) the advancement of biostatistical methods for such analyses (in collaboration with senior staff from the co-located MRC Biostatistics Unit). The appointments will be for up to 2 years on the Research Assistant/Associate grade within the salary scale £20,235 to £30,607 per annum according to qualifications and experience.
