As a senior member of the Exploratory Clinical Development (ECD)
Biostatistics group you will provide statistical support to projects in
their early phases of development. You will support the profiling of
compounds in the late phases of development at our state-of-the-art
research and development centre in Horsham by:
*Working closely with a team of experts from Research, Development,
Regulatory Affairs and Marketing to provide statistical expertise for
early clinical development plans
*Contributing to strategic discussions and decisions on a project level
*Representing Biostatistics in the early international clinical team
*Contributing to profiling plans on a project level
*Working with other Statisticians to give guidance and expertise on the
design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials
This is an exciting and forward thinking role, requiring candidates who
are self-motivated, equipped with multi-disciplinary team working skills
and committed to success.
You will need:
A University degree in Statistics or Mathematics (Ph.D. or MSc level)
Relevant experience in a field of clinical trials including providing
strategic support for projects
An excellent knowledge of statistics
Good knowledge of clinical trials methodology and proven knowledge of drug
development process and health authority guidelines and regulations
You will ideally have basic knowledge of pharmacological and physiological
sciences and PK/PD
You will preferably have good knowledge of scientific computation and SAS
and S-Plus
You will need to be a flexible, positive, creative thinker with good
communication skills, and an ability to negotiate
