Call for Abstracts: International conference on TB and HIV modelling

Stellenbosch, South Africa
An international TB and HIV conference will take place on 6-8 November
2006 in
Stellenbosch, South Africa. This event is organized by the Ghent University
(Belgium), in collaboration with the South African Centre for
Epidemiological
Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA), the African Institute for Mathematical
Sciences
(AIMS) and the University of the Western Cape. Confirmed keynote speakers
include Brian Williams (World Health Organization), Richard White (LSHTM),
Francois Venter (Wits), Carolyn Williamson (UCT), Leigh Johnson (UCT)
and Lieven
Annemans (Ugent).
The goal of this conference is to bring together epidemiologists,
mathematicians, clinicians and social scientists to discuss prevention and
treatment of TB and HIV; hence the conference theme "Bridging the gap
between
modelling and reality - the added value of interdisciplinary
collaboration in
the fight against TB and HIV".
The deadline for abstract submission is 15 September.
