Hi all,
I'm self-learning Multidimensional Scaling here. Can anyone spare some
time to illuminate me on why you have to work on the 'double-centred'
dissimilarity matrix instead of the dissimilarity matrix itself? Apart
from constraining the points to be around zero, does it also change the
relative positions of the points? If so, why do you want to do that?
Yours,
Tim
