We are seeking an applied medical statistician to join our clinical
research team at the Bristol Heart Institute. A strong interest in
cardiovascular medicine would be an advantage, but candidates with
experience in other medical disciplines will be considered. You will be a
graduate in statistics with at least five years experience or have a
postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in statistics or a related subject. The
primary duties will be to analyse data collected for randomised controlled
trials and observational studies of interventions and risk factors in
cardiac surgery, and to contribute to the design of future studies. Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This post is tenable from 1st November 2006 for two years, in the first
instance. If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a
permanent contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant
