Medical Statistician/Epidemiologist
The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the world's leading cancer research centres. In partnership with the Royal Marsden Hospital, we form the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe.
We are seeking to recruit a medical statistician or an epidemiologist with strong analytical skills to work on epidemiological research studies of the causes of cancer, particularly a major breast cancer cohort study that is collecting questionnaires and blood samples from over 100,000 women in the UK. The post is full-time or could be part-time, not less than 4 days per week.
The job offers the opportunity to contribute to and gain experience in large-scale epidemiological studies into the causes of cancer in a friendly and stimulating environment. Applicants should have an MSc or other higher degree in statistics or epidemiology.
The post will be for 2 years in the first instance with potential to renew, and will be on the Research Assistant or Research Fellow pay scale with a starting salary between £25,500 p.a. and £35,400 p.a., depending on qualifications and experience.
