Statistics Manager urgently required for one of the leading pharmaceutical companies based in the south east of the UK. There is currently a vacancy for an experienced senior statistician to move to the next stage in their career and support the development of new drugs in the high profile inflammation and dermatology portfolio. The primary focus will be providing consultancy and strategic input into clinical development programs.
Basic Qualifications:
BSc in Statistics (or equivalent) with 7yrs experience of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in statistical analysis of clinical trial data, with a demonstrated track record of influencing clinical research and direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideally, you will have an MSc with experience working as a statistician within either a pharmaceutical or academic medical research setting.
As a member of a team of skilled and committed statisticians and programmers, you will use your statistical expertise to contribute to the design and analysis of clinical trials, interpretation of results, and subsequent use of the results for regulatory submissions and publications. You may also research different statistical methodologies to enhance future analysis strategies. Working closely with physicians, clinical research scientists, regulatory colleagues and data managers you will utilise your excellent team-working and planning skills to provide quality input into international clinical development programmes. The position requires hands-on involvement in study design, CRF development, statistical analysis plan creation, statistical programming, interpretation of results, review of study reports, preparation of manuscripts, abstracts and promotional materials. As a project statistician you will be a key member of a global multi-disciplinary team so you will need to influence colleagues in complex situations and make an impact within a cross-functional team-based environment.
