The Company Partner

Established since 1993 Portfolio Metrica is an international media analysis, PR planning and market research company.  Its service allows huge volumes of media coverage to be analysed and reported as clear and concise management information.  As a result, organisations can gain rapid, regular and in-depth intelligence on how media are likely to influence target audiences, both in the UK and overseas.

Funding has been received for a new 30 month KTP project after which time there is strong potential for future employment.

The Role

A unique opportunity to help develop a new business in the fast moving area of market modelling.  You will identify the latest thinking and techniques applicable to market modelling and provide the expertise that will be the foundation upon which a new consultancy company will be built.  You will develop statistical models and create the software which will constitute a set of market modelling tools capable of being developed within the project and beyond. These tools and processes will ultimately form the basis for saleable, high level and high margin consultancy services.  The successful candidate can expect to enrol for PhD and will have the ideal opportunity for a senior role in the new business at the end of the project.

The Candidate

A self-starter with drive and enthusiasm is essential

You will need to have a strong technical background and the aptitude to develop existing business skills.

You must be a good team player, able to work on your own initiative and have excellent analysis and communication skills.

You will be a graduate with a good first degree (Min 2:1) in one of the following subjects: Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Management Sciences, or Business Information Systems.




You will work at the Company's offices in central London, and at times from the University's campus.
