JOB TITLE:   BIOSTATISTICIAN, Contract role for premier Pharma, based in 
Switzerland -  Ref FW 10967

LOCATION / AREA: Europe / Switzerland / French-Swiss border region / 
German-Swiss border region / Basel

SUMMARY OF ROLE:  One of the top Pharmaceutical companies in the world 
requires a Contract Biostatistician for six months, at their headquarters 
in Switzerland, based near the borders of both France and Germany.  The 
role holder will be responsible for all statistical tasks for assigned 
clinical trials in the CVM therapeutic area. This may include: protocol 
writing, analysis planning and reporting, exploratory analyses, 
publication support, and statistical consultation.

JOB ROLE: The Biostatistician will report to the Programme Statistician 
and/or the Group Head Biostatistics.  Principal responsibilities of this 
role include all statistical tasks for assigned clinical trials in the CVM 
therapeutic area, including:
§	Protocol writing, analysis planning and reporting, exploratory 
analyses, publication support, and statistical consultation.
§	Coordinating study tasks with other statisticians and statistical 
programmers.
§	Ensuring timeliness and adequate quality of all statistical 
deliverables.
§	Following processes and adhering to Company and project standards 
as well as Health Authority requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
§	Minimum MSc in statistics
§	At least 5 years experience in pharmaceutical development and 
clinical research
§	Strong statistical skills and knowledge of clinical trials 
methodology: experience with analysis planning and reporting of clinical 
trials
§	Strong SAS skills
§	Experience in Cardiovascular & Metabolism is desirable

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
§	Fluent in English, good oral and written communication skills
§	Good team player
§	High degree of autonomy in performing assigned duties
§	Able to establish personal relationships with personnel from other 
line functions
§	Experience with intercultural teams
