Applications are invited for the continuing/tenured position of Lecturer
(equivalent to US Assistant Professor) in Statistics in the Department
of Mathematics and Statistics. The successful candidate will possess a
minimum qualification of PhD or equivalent and have demonstrated the
ability to sustain a successful teaching and research career.
The Department has research strengths particularly in bioinformatics,
econometrics, Bayesian, non-parametrics, spatial statistics, sampling,
and time series analysis. It maintains strong research and teaching
links across the whole University, especially with the Colleges of
Commerce, Engineering and Science, and internationally. The appointee
will be expected to contribute to these links and to teach into the
Statistics programme at both undergraduate and postgraduate level for
the Department.
