The Trent Cancer Registry is one of 11 cancer registries in the UK and is responsible for the collection, analysis and dissemination of cancer data for the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. It is merged with the East Midlands Public Health Observatory and, as part of the regional public health intelligence function, monitors trends and variations in cancer incidence, survival, mortality and treatment and provides information to support the planning and evaluation of local cancer services.
We wish to appoint a Head of Cancer Analysis to lead and develop the provision and promotion of a cancer intelligence service in the region. Leading a small team of analysts, you will develop and manage a programme of work including the analysis, interpretation and presentation of cancer related data to a range of stakeholders.
You should possess a degree level qualification with significant statistical or epidemiological content, plus at least five years experience in the analysis and interpretation of health related data. You will also have a track record of presenting information to a range of audiences and experience of managing projects.
