The department of Primary Care & Population Sciences (PCPS) is one of
the largest and most prestigious departments of its kind in Europe.
Our primary care mental health and e-health research group wishes to
recruit an experienced statistician to join a multidisciplinary
research group working across the interface between the Dept of PCPS,
UCL and the MRC General Practice Research Framework (GPRF). The post
holder will capitalise on the opportunities of national and
international research significance arising from the collaboration
between PCPS, the Medical Research Council's Clinical Trials Unit
(CTU) and the MRC GPRF, as well as the well-established links with
UCL's Department of Mental Health Sciences. The post will be based
at the department's Hampstead Campus. The post holder will be
responsible for managing the statistical aspects of specific studies
co-ordinated by the group, including design, data analysis and
publication, and will work in close collaboration with senior
statisticians within our department. A limited amount of teaching is
also included in the role. Applicants should have a PhD or
equivalent in statistical science and some experience in analysing
data from large databases. You should also be able to demonstrate an
active research portfolio and publications in peer-reviewed
