I am a 4th year student in Statistics and Computer Science at the
university professional institute in Toulouse (France). To complete my
diploma, I have to do a five-month training period from April to August
2007. For the end of this 4th year diploma, I would to be interested in
doing this training period in the United Kingdom, as I would like to know
more about British culture, way of life and also about practice in
statistics.
I have some knowledge in the fields of data analysis (PCA, FCA, FDA,
clustering, data mining), statistical analysis (Modelling, descriptive and
inferential statistics), statistical programming and commercial
statistical packages (S-PLUS, SPSS, SAS, R), and that is why I would like
to apply for a training period. I feel I have the necessary qualities and
training needed for the kind of work that you could propose to me.
I wish to broaden my experience and develop my sense of responsibility. I
also see this experience as a personal challenge as I have a real desire
to adapt myself to a foreign language and culture.
I think my qualifications will be of interest to you. I am looking forward
to an answer from you.
Thomas Sarion.
