Post-doc Research Worker

We invite applications for a postdoctoral Research Worker to perform
biostatistical and bioinformatics analyses to elucidate molecular genetic
mechanisms leading to reinforcement-related behaviours, with a particular
emphasis on substance use disorders.
Successful candidates will have a first degree in biostatistics,
mathematics or a related field with statistical competence and a recent
relevant PhD. A solid background in standard statistical approaches and
relevant experience with genetic associations and linkage studies as well
as genome wide association studies are expected.
The post is supported by funding from the Integrated Project IMAGEN (FP6
of the European Commission Division). The appointment is expected to begin
February 1, 2007 and will continue for 36 months. Starting salaries in the
range £22,367 pa to £28,655 pa (inclusive of £2,323 pa London Allowance),
depending on experience.
