The Oxford Research Agency is recruiting an experienced Statistician to
take over the statistical aspects of market research design and
analysis. The role will allow you to conduct a variety of interesting
business projects using a broad range of statistical methods.
This position should excite those of you who want to be a central part
of the consultancy's services to top-class clients and have a direct
influence on shaping the role, where the sky is the limit ! Developing
new methods and solutions for clients will certainly be encouraged,
directly with clients and/or via the agency's statistically-savvy team
of Researchers and Directors.

1. Key aims of the role
a. To take over all statistical aspects of market research
projects, particularly for the Consumer Packaged Goods New Product
Development sector/team.
b. To (help) develop new methods/applications/solutions for
The Oxford Research Agency and its clients.
2. Ideal experience/skills required (candidates from non-market
research industries also welcomed to discuss the role)
a. Statistics related degree [MSc/PhD a bonus].
b. Full understanding of all relevant statistical
techniques and tools including:
i.
Multivariate analysis/segmentation/mapping.
ii.
Modelling techniques.
iii.
Experimental design.
iv. Use
of main software packages.
c. Minimum 2 years of applying statistical methods to
survey design and analysis [ideally including FMCG NPD].
d. Comfortable in using primary consumer data from
face-to-face and online interviewing sources.
e. Good interpersonal skills in communicating with
researchers/DP [and clients ideally].
f. Proficient at conducting several projects at a time.
g. Committed to highest levels of accuracy and quality
whilst also able to meet deadlines for colleagues and clients.
h. Experience/know-how in developing new client
applications/solutions [and ideally can be part of team to 'sell' them].
