whose mission
is to extend and enhance human life urgently requires a Biometrics Manager.
My client's researchers are dedicated to discovering and developing
innovative medicines that address significant unmet medical needs in key
disease areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Serve as representative of Biometrics on Project Teams of major,
multi-study projects of diversified scope.
§ Coach and develop local staff members for professional enhancement
§ Monitor timeline and keep track of revenue realization for all
supervised projects
§ Plan and implement technical training for other members of the
local department.
§ Assist to plan and implement process improvement goals within the
local department.
§ Ensure consistency of local departmental activities and processes
across projects.
§ Review and approve work of other members of the local department.
§ Assist in administration of the department, including resource and
project scheduling, interviewing and hiring, establishing local departmental
processes, interaction with other departments.
§ May serve as primary statistical contact with clients for projects
of diversified scope.
§ May serve as a back-up to represent clients at FDA meetings.
§ May be responsible for statistical activities associated with
clinical research studies and with programs leading to regulatory
submissions.
§ Routinely keep track of revenue captures for statistical services
under supervision and keep supervisor informed
§ Perform employee performance appraisals
§ Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.
SKILLS
§ Previous computer experience.
§ Proficient in statistical procedures including non parametric
analysis, linear and non-linear models, categorical data and survival
analysis techniques,
§ Proficient in SAS
§ Extended knowledge of the procedures of clinical programming
§ Experience on either VAX or PC platform using SAS
§ Understanding of data management flow in clinical trials
environment.
§ Strong organizational skills.
§ High degree of accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.
§ Strong oral and written communication skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics or equivalent,
§ At least 4 years for Ph.D. statistician and 6 years for M.S.
statistician in clinical trial experience.
§ Previous responsibility for a large portion of the statistical
content of at least one NDA.
