Further to my recent message on the Excel procedure for obtaining seconday y-axes: the following details of an approach via Minitab have been kindly sent to me:
In Minitab it's much the same as the Excel approach,
but you get there by editing the Y-axis rather than
the data series!
Step by step:
1) Plot the graph with one Y axis:
Graph|Scatterplot|Simple
1.1) Enter 2 (or more!) rows of X/Y variables
(maybe common X, e.g. Y1 v X1, Y2 v X1)
1.2) In "Multiple Graphs" choose "Overlaid on the
same graph"
1.3) Click "OK" until the graph is plotted
2) Edit the resulting graph to get a secondary Y-axis:
1.1) Double-click Y-axis to get "Edit scale" dialog
1.2) Choose "Secondary" tab
1.3) Change appropriate Y-column(s) to "Secondary"
1.4) Click "OK"
No SPSS equivalents have been sent to my thus far.
Best wishes
Margaret
