Colleagues
Does anyone know anything about the current status of the OpenSurvey
initiative and its output AskML? This was planned to be a generic XML based
tool for the characterisation of all stages of the sample survey process --
highly ambitious and the extremely useful. However, the OpenSurvey web site
is down and there does not seem to have been any public activity in the name of
OpenSurvey or AskML since since 2002 (we are aware of the OpenSurveyPilot
initiative on SourceForge, which seems unrelated and itself seems to have been
dormant since 2004).
Any pointers to the fate of these initiatives, the availability of residual assets,
repositories of existing work etc. would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks.
